Metal Crafts

Metal Crafts is our small workshop at Plot No. 13 in the Industrial Estate of Chidambar. We’ve been working with metal here for several years. It’s a noisy place with all the cutting and welding going on, but we don’t mind it. The industrial estate is a good place for us because we can make as much noise as we need without bothering the neighbors too much. We focus on making various metal parts and items. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty every single day. We have a small crew of workers who really know their way around the machines. We aren't some big factory with automated robots. Most of the work is done by hand or with older machines that we’ve maintained over time. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it instead of working. That’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor. Chidambar is a decent area for this kind of business. We get our materials from nearby suppliers and try to keep things moving. We don't really do much advertising. People in the estate know us and they tell others about what we do. It’s a steady life and we’re happy with it. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one day at a time.
