K L E Hospital is situated right on the N H Service Road in Nehru Nagar. Being on the service road makes it easy for ambulances and cars to pull in without having to fight the main highway traffic. It is a busy place, as you would expect a hospital to be most of the time. There are always nurses moving around and doctors heading to different rooms to see people. We have the smell of disinfectant in the air and the sound of machines beeping every now and then. Nehru Nagar is a growing area, and we serve a lot of the families who live nearby. The hospital isn't like those huge corporate ones you see in the big cities; it feels more local and connected to the people who live here. We have patients coming in for all sorts of things, from small scrapes to more serious stuff that needs real attention. The waiting area usually has a few people sitting quietly, waiting for their turn to see the doctor. Our staff works long shifts, and you can see the tiredness on their faces sometimes, but they stay focused on the patients.
