Krushinayakorganic Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based at 160/28 Sainagri in Manjlegaon, right here in the Bidbhatwadgaon area. We’ve been around for a bit now, just a small group of farmers who decided to join up under the Krushinayakorganic Farmers Producer Company Limited name. It is not exactly easy work out here, but we manage to get by. We handle the organic side of things because that is what seems to work best for our soil lately. Most of us grew up on these very lands and our families have been here for generations. The company was set up mainly to make things easier for everyone involved. Instead of every person going at it alone and struggling with the buyers, we pool our resources and crops together. It involves a lot of paperwork and sitting around the table sometimes, but it helps when it comes time to move the harvest. We spend most of our time out in the fields or checking on the storage area which gets quite dusty. It’s a lot of talking to neighbors and making sure the organic standards are being met by everyone. Some days are very long, especially when the harvest is ready and the trucks are waiting. We don’t have a big office or anything fancy like you see in the city. It is just a practical spot to keep the records and meet up to talk about the weather or the crop prices. We try to keep everything straightforward for the members. If a neighbor needs some seeds or advice on organic stuff, they just stop by our place.
