You can find us at House Number 124 in Georai. It’s a part of the Beed district where the sun can be really unforgiving. We have been here for a while now, working as Shrikunalking Agrotech Producer Company. The name sounds a bit big, but we are just a regular group of people trying to make a living from the land. Beed is a tough place for farming sometimes because of the water issues. We spend a lot of our time trying to figure out better ways to irrigate. Our house at 124 is where we store most of our stuff and do the paperwork. It’s a busy place during the harvest season. You’ll see bags of seeds and different tools lying around the courtyard. We don't have any corporate training or anything like that. We learned everything by doing it. If a machine breaks, we grab a wrench and get to work. That’s just how it goes here in Georai. We talk to the other farmers in the village almost every day. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We don't make any big promises, we just try to get the work done before the day ends. Sometimes we stay up late checking the weather reports and worrying about the rain. It’s a simple existence, focused on the dirt and the crops and the people we know in this part of Beed.
