Kapil Stones

Kapil Stones has been operating near the New Power House in Bhim Nagar for quite a few years now. Our yard is usually full of dust and heavy slabs, but that is just the nature of the work we do every day. If you come by this part of the district, you will see us out there moving things around or talking to the truck drivers who bring in the new loads. It is a simple place and we don't have any of those fancy showrooms you see in the city. Mostly it is just a few of us making sure the stone is cut right and loaded properly for whoever needs it. The weather can get really hot out here, but we stay busy enough that we don't think about it too much. We know most of the people around Bhim Nagar since we have been here so long. We aren't trying to do anything big or flashy. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the stone goes out on time. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which takes up a lot of the afternoon. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We keep our tools in a small shed in the back and there is always some tea going if a neighbor stops by to chat for a minute.
