Our place is G-151 over in the Riico Industrial Area. We deal in stone, mostly the slabs and tiles that people use when they are building their homes. The yard is usually quite messy with broken pieces of rock and white dust everywhere, but that is just the nature of this kind of work. We do not have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that; people just walk around the piles of stone to see what they like. It is hot work in the middle of the day, so we usually try to start very early in the morning. We have a couple of guys who help us with the heavy loading and the cutting when it is needed. Most of our customers are local contractors or families building their own small houses nearby. We have been in this industrial patch for some time now and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The trucks come in with the raw blocks and they leave with the finished pieces. We check every single load that goes out to make sure it is exactly what the person asked for. It is a simple operation without any fancy technology or complicated business systems. We just use our hands and a few old machines to get the job done. Sometimes a piece breaks and we have to start all over again, which is just part of the risk. We keep things honest and just tell people exactly what we have in stock.
