Ashirwad Veg Familly Restaurant is located right on the Pilibhit Bypass in Bareilly. If you know where Kopal Hospital is, we are just a short walk from there. We started this place because we wanted a spot where families could sit down and eat without too much fuss. Bareilly is growing fast and the bypass road is always full of cars and trucks going past. We see a lot of travelers and also people who live in the new colonies nearby. The restaurant is strictly vegetarian. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure the lentils and vegetables are fresh every day. It is not always easy running a kitchen, sometimes things get hectic when a big group shows up at once. We do not use any complicated systems, just a pen and paper for orders usually. The staff here is mostly local guys from the neighborhood who know how things work. We try to keep the tables clean and the water jugs filled up for the customers. It gets quite hot in Bareilly during the summer months, so we do our best to keep the place comfortable for anyone coming in from the road. We do not have any big speeches about what we do. We just open the shutters, start the stoves, and wait for the lunch crowd to arrive. It is a simple life and we are glad to be part of the community here on the bypass road.
