Our place is at D. No. 7-35C, right near Manikonda in Ganapavaram Village. It’s out in the Rajupalem area of Guntur. If you’ve ever been to this part of Guntur, you know it’s all about the plants and the trees. Akula Ganapavaram Horticulture Farmers Producer Company Limited was started because the horticulture farmers around here needed a central spot. The office is just a simple room with some chairs and a big table where we spread out the maps and the lists. It can get pretty dusty because of the fields nearby. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the breeze through the windows when there is one. The neighbors are all farming families too, so everyone knows everyone. We spend a lot of time walking out to the plots to see how the fruit trees are doing. It’s a lot of walking in the sun. Sometimes we have meetings that last until the mosquitoes start coming out. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us trying to make sure the Ganapavaram growers get a fair shake. The 522403 area is home to us. It’s a quiet life mostly, except during the harvest when everything happens at once. We just keep our heads down and do the work that is in front of us every day, making sure the horticulture records stay updated.
