Memoirs

Memoirs is based over at Milan Industrial Estate, unit 132, in HSR Layout. Being in an industrial estate means there is always noise from the neighboring units. We have a lot of space here, but it’s mostly filled with equipment and raw materials. It’s a workshop environment. The floors are concrete and have some stains from over the years. We spend the day working on various projects, usually with the big shutter open to let in some air. HSR Layout is a busy area in Bangalore, so there’s always people moving around outside. Our team consists of local workers who have been with us for a while. We don't have a fancy office upstairs, just a desk in the corner where we keep the bills and the phone. It gets a bit dusty with all the activity, but that’s normal for a place like this. We usually take our breaks together near the entrance. The light in here is a bit dim in the back, so we use some standing lamps when we need to see the details. It’s a straightforward business. We make things, we pack them, and we send them out. There’s no marketing team or anything like that here. Just us doing the work every day. Sometimes the machinery needs a bit of a kick to get started, but we know how it all works. We try to keep things moving even when it is busy.
