Sri Gururaya Printers

Sri Gururaya Printers is located at 13 Doddaballapur. We are in Khandwala Lane on Daftary Road, inside the Muncipal Complex. The shop smells like ink and paper most of the time. We have a couple of machines that hum along all day. Sometimes they jam and we have to spend an hour getting the paper out. It's just a regular local printing spot. We do everything from small flyers to larger jobs for the nearby shops. There is always a stack of finished work waiting to be picked up. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we have been working here so long we can do it with our eyes closed. People come in with their files on thumb drives or sometimes just a piece of paper they want copied. We aren't a big industrial factory. It's just a few of us making sure the colors look okay and the edges are cut straight. The lane outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache. Most people just walk over. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the demand for printing never really goes away. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s honest work and we like the routine of it. Even when it gets hectic, we try to keep a sense of humor. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps by five o'clock. We sweep up and do it again tomorrow. It’s a bit messy but that’s printing.
