Komtech Plastic

Down in Doddaballapur at Gangadham you will find Komtech Plastic. We are at 9B. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city but we like it out here. The air is slightly better and there is more room to breathe. We work with plastics mostly. It involves a lot of heat and molding. Our workshop is usually a mess of crates and finished parts. We don't mind the clutter as long as the work is getting done. There are about ten of us who handle the day to day stuff. We start early when it’s still cool outside. By midday the machines make the place pretty warm. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. Just some big fans and open doors. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work. We help each other out if someone needs a tool or a hand moving something heavy. We don't really do anything besides make the products. There are no sales pitches here. If someone calls we just tell them what we have and when it will be ready. It is a very direct way of doing business. We’ve had some of the same customers for a long time. They know we are just a small shop trying to do things properly. It’s not a glamorous life but we are proud of the work we do.
