Vandeet Agri (Opc) Private Limited is set up in Kumbhalmerta, which is a small area near Palanpur in Banaskantha. It’s a quiet place, far away from the big city noise you find in Ahmedabad. The office is basically just a room where we keep our records and handle the daily chores of the business. You have to drive down some narrow roads to get to us, and in the summer, the ground gets very dry and the wind blows the sand around everywhere. We have a couple of ceiling fans that keep us cool enough while we sit through the afternoon heat. Most of the people who come by are local folks from the surrounding villages who are busy with their own land. We spend a lot of time just talking and listening to what is happening in the fields nearby. There isn't any shiny glass or modern furniture here, just some sturdy wooden tables and a few chairs for guests to sit on. Banaskantha is a tough place to work sometimes because of the weather, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t mind it much. Every day feels pretty much the same, with the sun coming up over the hills and the sound of tractors in the distance. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing without making a big fuss about it. It is a simple life and a simple office, but it works for us.
