Desertwood is really just about the work we do in the agri sector here in Banas Kantha. It is a lot of research and development, which basically means we spend a lot of time looking at how things grow and how to make them better. It gets quite hot out here, but we are used to the weather. Being near the flour mill means there is always a bit of noise and dust, but it feels like a real working neighborhood. We started this place because we wanted to stay close to the ground. It is not a very large operation. We have a few rooms where we keep our equipment and books. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot of data to look through. Palanpur is a good town for this kind of work because everyone understands farming. We don't have any marketing people or anything fancy. It is just us doing the research. Sometimes the internet is slow, and that can be a bit frustrating when we are trying to look things up.
