Tarai Industries

Our place is over at Plot No-P-115/3 in the Proof Colony area. We are pretty easy to find because we’re near the Balasore Kendriya Vidyalaya. You can usually hear the school bell ringing from our yard. We do industrial work here, nothing too complicated but we keep busy. The workshop is a basic metal structure that gets pretty hot in the summer, but we’ve got some fans going. We started out with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as we went along. It’s a local operation, mostly hiring people from the surrounding neighborhoods. We aren't interested in being the biggest company around, just in doing a decent job for the people who hire us. You’ll often find the floors covered in metal shavings or dust depending on what we're making that week. There’s a small office in the front where we keep the ledger and a very old computer that still works somehow. We don't have a website that’s updated or anything like that. Most people just call us or drop by when they see the gates open. It’s a quiet enough area when the school is in session. We just show up, do the work, and go home. That’s been the way we’ve done things since we opened the doors here. We don't have a big fancy reception area, just a couple of plastic chairs if you need to wait. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need to do.
