Dealing with steel and iron isn't easy work, but it's what we know. Our yard and office are always a bit dusty because of the nature of the business. You can hear the machines running most of the day and it can get quite loud. It’s a noisy place, but we are used to it by now. The people working here are mostly locals from around Balasore and nearby villages. We don't have a lot of fancy brochures or a high-tech website to show off. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. We just focus on the quality of the material we handle and get it out on time. The weather here can get really hot in the summer, which makes the manual work even tougher for the guys. We take our breaks under the shade when we can and drink plenty of water. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the raw materials in, process what needs to be done, and send it out on the trucks. There aren't many bells and whistles to it. Some days are longer than others depending on the orders we have on the books. We just try to keep the trucks moving and the orders filled correctly. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going in this part of India.
