Halon Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in Jam Tola, over in the Garhi area of Baihar. We run things from the place of Sukhdev Singh and Shyamlal Yadav. It’s a very local operation. We don't have a storefront in the city or anything like that. We stay close to where the actual farming happens. Jam Tola is a quiet spot, and that suits us fine. We spend our days talking to the local producers and trying to get everything organized for the season. It’s a lot of coordination. Sukhdev and Shyamlal have been part of this community for a long time, so people trust coming here. We don't put on any airs about being a big company. We are just a group of people trying to make the agricultural side of things run a bit smoother for everyone involved. Sometimes the rain makes the roads to Garhi a bit difficult, but we still manage to get the work done. We don't have any polished brochures. Most of what we do is just handled face-to-face over a cup of tea. It’s a slow and steady way of working. We think it’s better to be honest and direct than to try and sound like something we aren't. That’s just the way we do things here in Baihar. It's not always easy, but it is good to work with neighbors you've known for years.
