Vithal Kamats Original Family Restaurant

Our restaurant is located in Hasnaband Wadi on the Jalna Road in Shekta. It is out in the Aurangabad area of Maharashtra. If you are driving along that road, you really can’t miss us. We have been a family-run spot for a long time. It’s a big, open place designed for people who are traveling and need a break. We don't have any of those fancy decorations or modern art on the walls. It’s just tables, chairs, and plenty of fans to keep the air moving when the heat gets intense in the afternoons. Most people stop in for some South Indian food, which is what we are known for in these parts. The sambar is made fresh every day, and we try to keep the coffee hot. It gets very busy on the weekends with families heading out of the city. The parking area is just a large open space, so there is plenty of room for buses to pull in. We have a small crew of people from the village who work here. Sometimes the service might be a bit slower when a whole busload of people arrives at once, but we do our best. The bathrooms are basic and kept as clean as possible for the travelers. It’s just a simple, hardworking place by the side of the road. We are happy to see familiar faces coming back year after year. Being near Shekta means we get a lot of local farmers coming in for tea too. We've been here through many seasons of harvest and travel.
