Videocon Appliances Ltd.

Our location is a bit out of the main city. We are situated at the 15 Km Stone on Aurangabad Paithan Road, which means we see a lot of highway traffic and dust throughout the day. Videocon Appliances Ltd. has been at this spot for quite a long time now. Most of the people working here commute from the surrounding villages or take the bus from Aurangabad. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially inside the sheds where the metal work happens. We make appliances, so there is always the constant sound of assembly lines moving and the noise of packing tape being pulled. It isn't a fancy place with a lobby, just a lot of floor space and people getting their shifts done. Sometimes the power fluctuates, but that is just how things go on this road. We spend most of our time making sure the machines are running right and that the loaders are getting everything onto the trucks properly. Lunch is usually a quick affair in the canteen or just sitting outside under whatever shade we can find near the gate. It is hard work, but the guys here are used to the rhythm of the place. We do not have a big office for visitors, mostly just the main gates and the security cabin. People know we are here because of the big sign by the road. It is a straightforward, busy setup every single day.
