Our company, Specialty Polyfilms (India) Pvt. Ltd, is located in the MIDC Area in Waluj. We have two units here, F-89 and 102. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s all factories and warehouses as far as you can see. We make different kinds of plastic films that people use for wrapping and packaging. The machines are big and they run pretty much all the time. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s what we do. The floors are concrete and there's always a bit of a hum from the power lines and the equipment. We don’t have a fancy corporate lobby. If you come to visit, you’ll probably meet us in a small side office with some plastic chairs and a calendar on the wall. We spend most of our time out on the floor making sure the thickness of the film is right. It takes a lot of attention to make sure everything is coming off the rollers correctly. Waluj is a bit of a drive from the main town, so we usually just stay on site for lunch. It’s a practical environment. We focus on getting the rolls packed and ready for the trucks to pick them up. We aren't trying to change the world, we're just making sure our customers get the film they ordered so they can wrap their own products. It’s a steady business and we like the people we work with. That’s really all there is to it.
