Shripad Restaurant

You will find Shripad Restaurant on the Aurangabad Dhule Highway. We are very close to the Devagiri Fort in Daulatabad. Because of the location, we get a lot of people who are exhausted from climbing all those stairs at the fort. They usually come in looking for a place to sit in the shade. The highway is right there, so you hear the big trucks roaring past all day long. It’s a bit of a dry, hot area, especially in the summer months. We keep things very straightforward here. The menu is written on a board and we don't change it much. The staff is mostly local guys who live nearby. We opened this place because there weren't many spots for travelers to stop and get a decent plate of food on this stretch of the road. It’s not a fancy air-conditioned hall. Most of the time, the air coming through the windows is what we have. Sometimes the water supply is a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the most popular spot on the map, just a reliable one for anyone driving between Aurangabad and Dhule. We see all kinds of people, from families on vacation to truck drivers taking a break. It’s a simple life out here near the fort, just serving food and keeping the place running.
