Shelke Mama Dhaba

Shelke Mama Dhaba is out on the Aurangabad Daulatabad Road. We are located in Daulatabad, near a spot called Tinu. If you are heading out to see the fort or just traveling through Maharashtra, you will likely pass us. It is a roadside place through and through. We don't have any walls, just a roof and some tables where people can sit. The wind blows through, and you can hear the cars passing by on the main road. It gets very busy on weekends when people are out on trips. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the locals all know us. We don't have a printed menu that changes every week. We just cook what we know how to cook. The kitchen is open so you can see what is happening. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that is how a dhaba should be. We use a lot of local wood for the cooking, which gives everything a certain smell. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel. We spend our days prepping vegetables and making sure there is enough water for everyone. It is honest work. We don't try to impress anyone with fancy plates. We just want to make sure people leave with a full stomach before they get back on the road to Aurangabad. That is the way we do things at Shelke Mama.
