Rajput PureVeg Restaurant

Our place is out on Jalna road in the Shekta area of Aurangabad. We are right by the Mansing Petrol pump in Hasnabadwadi. Being a pure veg restaurant is important to us because that’s the way we’ve always lived and eaten at home. The traffic on Jalna road never really stops, so there is always a bit of a rumble from the big trucks and cars outside our door. We have a basic kitchen where we make everything from scratch every single day. It’s not a large place by any means but we have enough chairs for the locals and the travelers who stop by to rest. We’ve been here for a bit now and most people in Shekta know who we are. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook and we serve. My wife helps with the accounts and I stay in the front mostly to talk to people. We have a couple of boys who help with the cleaning and bringing food to the tables. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things a bit difficult with the mud outside the pump, but we manage to keep things going. 431007 is the pin code here. It’s a practical business and we don’t spend money on things we don't need like extra decorations or big bright signs. We just want to get through the day and make sure the people who come in leave feeling full.
