Chikalthana is a massive industrial area with all sorts of things going on. We are tucked away at W-68(A) in the MIDC section of the park. PGI Technologies is the name on our front gate, but most people around here just know us as the guys who handle the tech parts in this particular block. There are trucks moving in and out of the lane all day long. The noise from the other nearby factories just blends together into one big hum. We stay inside our unit and focus on our own workbenches. Even though we deal with technology, it is mostly about the physical assembly of parts. We have a group of people who are really skilled with their hands. They can put these units together while chatting about the latest cricket match or the weather. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anyone waiting to greet you. It’s just an office with some old filing cabinets and the main workshop area in the back. The lights are those long fluorescent tubes that hum if you listen closely enough. We have been in the MIDC for a long time now. You eventually get used to the smell of grease and the sound of the forklifts going past the door. We just put our heads down and get through the daily orders. When the evening whistle finally blows, we head home. It is steady, honest work for everyone here.
