Naivedya Restaurant

Our restaurant is out in Waluj, specifically at X 31 in the MIDC area of Aurangabad. It is right besides the Kotak Mahindra Bank in Bajaj Nagar. Being in an industrial zone means we see a lot of the same faces every day. We get the workers from the factories and the bank staff coming in for their lunch breaks. It’s a very practical sort of place. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls or soft music playing. Usually, it is just the sound of the fans and people clinking their spoons against the plates. I start my shift early to make sure everything is prepped. The heat in the kitchen gets pretty intense in the afternoons, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We focus on getting the food out fast because people only have so much time before they have to go back to work. I’ve seen this area change quite a bit over the years, more buildings going up and more traffic on the roads. But our little corner stays pretty much the same. We wash the floors every night and start all over again the next morning. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. If you are near the bank and feeling hungry, you’ll see the Naivedya Restaurant sign right there. We don't do anything special, just local food for the local crowd.
