This restaurant is right at the Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad. Being an MTDC place, we are basically here for the people who come to see the world heritage site. It’s a long walk and a lot of stairs at the caves, so people are usually pretty tired and hungry by the time they find us. We don’t have a massive menu with hundreds of items. We just keep a few reliable dishes that we can get out to travelers quickly. The location is the main thing here, surrounded by all that history and the hills of Maharashtra. We get people from all over the world, but we also get a lot of local school trips and families on vacation. The building is simple and we keep the seating straightforward. It’s not about luxury here; it’s about providing a spot to sit down, have some water, and eat a meal before heading back to the city or on to the next site. We deal with the heat and the crowds during the peak season, which can be a bit much sometimes. But it’s good to be part of someone’s trip to the caves. We aren't trying to compete with the fancy hotels in Aurangabad city. We are just the local spot at the caves where you can get some basic Indian food and a bit of a rest.
