Madhuram Thali Restaurant

If you are around Nirala Bazar in Aurangabad, you have probably seen Madhuram Thali Restaurant. We are located right near the Tapdiya Natya Mandir Chowk. It is a busy part of town because of the theater and all the shops nearby that bring in a lot of people. Running a thali place is mostly about timing and making sure the pots are full. We start early in the morning, getting all the different vegetables chopped and the dal simmering on the big stoves. By the time noon rolls around, everything has to be ready because that is when the first wave of hungry people arrives. It is a lot of work to keep filling those small bowls on the plates, but our boys are fast on their feet and they know the drill. The floor can get a bit slippery sometimes when it's raining outside and everyone is coming in with wet shoes from the street. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the basic stuff you need to run a dining room. It gets pretty loud during the peak hours with the clinking of spoons and people talking over each other about their day. We are not trying to be a five-star hotel or anything like that. We are just a local spot in Maharashtra where you can get a full meal and then get back to your work. The location in Nirala Bazar works for us.
