La Festa Food Plaza

La Festa Food Plaza is situated right at the Aurangabad Railway Station. Being at a station means we are in the middle of a lot of chaos and movement every single day. People are always rushing to catch their trains or just arriving in the city, so we see a lot of tired and hungry travelers. The atmosphere is very different from a neighborhood restaurant because nobody is ever in much of a hurry to linger. They want their food and they want to get to their platform. We have to work fast to keep up with the train schedules. The sounds of whistles and announcements are basically the background music for our workday. Our kitchen is geared toward moving things along quickly. We don't have time for anything too complicated, so we stick to what we know works for people on the move. The tables get turned over fast, and there is always someone new sitting down. It can be exhausting, especially when several trains arrive at the same time, but we have a system that works. The staff is used to the pace and doesn't get rattled easily. We are just a practical part of the station, providing a place to sit and eat for a few minutes before the next journey begins. It’s a busy life here in Aurangabad, and we are right in the thick of it at the Food Plaza.
