Krishnam School

We are over here on Beed By Pass Road in Aurangabad. It is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everything starts moving. The school isn't some fancy glass building; it’s just a place where we get together to teach. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot over the bypass. You can hear the trucks going by while we are setting up the chairs and getting the boards wiped down. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Some of the windows stick a bit when it rains, and the front gate has a squeak we haven’t fixed yet. The kids come in with their bags, some looking tired and others running around the yard. We spend a lot of time just making sure everyone has what they need. There is a lot of chatter in the hallways between classes. It gets pretty loud. We have desks that have seen better days, but they work fine for what we do. People in Aurangabad know where we are because of the landmark. It’s not a complicated setup. We just open the doors, do the work, and go home when the sun starts to set. The staff rooms are usually full of half-drunk tea cups and stacks of papers. It’s a real place with real people just trying to get through the lessons. That is pretty much the whole story of Krishnam School.
