Koyla Dum Biryani & Kababs

You can find Koyla Dum Biryani & Kababs at Mini Shop No 12 in the Cannought Garden area of CIDCO Colony. We are right near Garden Gate No 1, which makes it a nice spot for people who are out for an evening walk in Aurangabad. The shop is quite small, so it’s more about the food than the seating space. We focus on dum biryani and different kinds of kebabs that we cook over the coals. The smell of the charcoal is something you can notice from a distance when you are walking near the garden. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and I knew how to make a decent biryani. It’s not a complicated menu. We just do a few things and try to make sure they taste right every day. The weekends are usually the craziest because families come out to the park and then they stop by for a parcel to take home. Sometimes the line gets a bit long and I have to ask people to wait a few minutes while we pack everything up. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. It’s just me and a couple of helpers making sure the meat is tender and the rice is fluffy. It gets smoky in the shop sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re grilling kebabs all evening for the hungry crowd.
