Priyamjeet Shop

This is Priyamjeet Shop located in Andal, Durgapur. It's a quiet area mostly, though the main road gets noisy with trucks sometimes. We are out here in West Burdwan and have been serving the locals for a good bit of time now. It’s just a regular shop where people come to get what they need for their homes. I grew up around here so I know most of the families by name. We don't do anything flashy or try to be something we aren't. The shelves are usually full and we try to keep things where people can find them easily without asking too many questions. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around for hours, but that’s just how it goes in this business. My brother and I take turns behind the counter to keep things running. It gets quite hot in the afternoons but the breeze from the back window helps keep us cool. We aren't some big city store with bright lights and music playing. It's just a place to buy your stuff without a fuss. We keep it simple because that’s what people here like. Andal is a decent place to work and live. Durgapur isn't too far if we need to pick up extra supplies ourselves. People stop by to chat as much as they do to shop. It’s nice having that connection with everyone in the neighborhood.
