Mahabir Trader

Our shop is located right on the G. T. Road in Rambandhutala. It’s a very busy stretch of road in East Burdwan, so there’s always traffic noise outside. We at Mahabir Trader are very close to the Gurudwara, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. We trade in different things and our inventory changes depending on what is available and what people are asking for. The shop isn't very big, and we have piles of stuff stacked up high against the walls. We spend a lot of time talking to people who stop in while they are traveling along the main road. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking lists. We don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things, just some old notebooks and our memory. The weather in East Burdwan gets pretty humid, so we keep the fans running all day long. We have been part of this community for years and we know the regulars who come in every week. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just open up in the morning, see what needs doing, and get to it. Sometimes we run out of things, and other times we have too much, but that’s just how trading goes. There is always someone coming in for something, and we stay here until it's time to lock up.
