At Amijal Chemicals, we work out of Plot No. 313-5 in the Industrial Estate. It’s right in the heart of the manufacturing zone. Our day-to-day involves handling various chemical compounds, which means we have to be quite careful about how things are stored and moved. The warehouse part of our plot is usually full of barrels and sacks. It’s not the kind of place you’d want to wear your best clothes to. We are a small crew, and everyone knows their specific job, whether it’s mixing or checking the quality of a batch. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the local delivery drivers and the guys at the tea stall down the road. Sometimes the weather gets really humid, and that can affect how some of the chemicals behave, so we have to keep a close eye on things. We don't have any big mission statements or fancy titles for everyone. We just call ourselves by our names and get on with what needs to be done. The phone rings fairly often with people asking about prices or delivery times. We try to answer honestly about when things will be ready. It’s a practical way to run things, and it has worked for us so far. Our gates are open early in the morning, and we usually wrap things up by six in the evening.
