Shankar Traders

Shankar Traders is located out at Plot No. 88 in the Kansari Gidc, which is right by Village Kansari. It is an interesting spot because you have the industrial side of the Gidc but you still feel the village nearby. We are mostly involved in trading, so our warehouse at Plot 88 is the center of everything. We get goods in from all over and then sort them out to send them back out again. It’s a lot of inventory management, which sounds fancier than it is. Mostly it is just us counting boxes and making sure the invoices match up. The road to Village Kansari can be a bit bumpy sometimes, especially after the monsoon. We have a small team here. We aren't part of some giant corporation. It is just Shankar Traders, a local business trying to do things right. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to drivers who are trying to find the plot. There isn't much shade around the plot, so it gets hot during the summer months. We keep a cooler of water for everyone. It is a simple setup, but it works for us. We like the pace of life here in Kansari. It is busy enough to keep us on our toes but not so crazy that we can't have a chat with the neighbors. We just keep the warehouse moving and get the trucks loaded on time.
