Our yard is out on Sarsa Vera Road, right near the Mgvcl Sub Station here in Sarsa. If you look for the big piles of sand and the finished concrete blocks, you’ll find Ambica Cement Articles easily enough. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, everything we wear is covered in grey. We make a variety of things like pipes and blocks, mostly just sitting out in the open air. The weather really dictates how much we can get done; if it rains, we have to cover everything up and wait it out. It’s a small team, mostly just family and a couple of neighbors who help with the heavy lifting. We don't have a showroom or a fancy reception area. If someone wants to buy something, they usually just walk into the yard and find one of us. We keep our records in a simple notebook that sits on a shelf in the shed. The work is physically hard on the back, but we’ve been doing it for years so we are used to it. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the mud if the ground is soft, which is a real headache to deal with. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around; we just want to make stuff that holds up well. It is honest work under the sun. That’s all there is.
