If you drive out toward Village Vasna Margiya in Kheda, you’ll find us at Block No.162. We’re near the G.G.S plant, which is the main landmark around here that everyone knows. Universal Metal Company Limited is really just a bunch of sheds and a large yard full of scrap and processed metal. It’s a bit out of the way, which is fine because the work we do can be noisy. The road out here gets a little bumpy during the monsoon season, so we have to watch the trucks as they come in. We don't have a fancy front desk or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, if you show up, you just have to find one of us in the yard or the main shed. It’s dusty work, and we spend a lot of time sorting through different grades of metal. The sun gets pretty intense out here in the open fields, so we try to start early in the morning. We don't put much stock in big titles or corporate structures. Everyone here knows how to move the heavy stuff. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of weights. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to work. It’s a simple life out in the village, away from the city noise. Handling the metal and trying to keep the place organized enough to find things when we need them is what we do.
