Vicky General Store

Our shop is Vicky General Store and you can find us at Shri Ram Avenue on Majitha Road. We are right in the Medical Enclave area of Amritsar, which is near the Bypass Chowk. It’s a good spot because there are always people moving around. We have everything from bread and eggs to batteries and light bulbs. I’ve lived in Amritsar my whole life and I’ve seen this area change a lot over the years. The roads are wider now but the traffic is worse. People often stop by in their cars and just honk for us to bring things out, though I prefer it when they come inside to say hello. We have a small fan that hums in the corner and a big glass case for the more expensive items. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked, but we keep them clean. We aren't some big chain store with matching uniforms. I usually just wear my regular clothes and sit behind the desk. Sometimes my friends come over and we drink tea while I wait for customers. It’s a friendly place and we don't make things complicated. If someone is short on cash, we just write it in the book and they pay when they can. That's how we've always done things here and it works out fine for everyone.
