Real Hot

Katargam is a tight-knit area, and we’re right in the middle of it at Valawadi. Our place, Real Hot, is at 113/2 (Paiky) in Nava Falia. If you can’t find the number, just look for the Bombay Food Factory; we’re right opposite it. You can often smell whatever they’re making over there, which is either great or a bit much depending on the day. Our workshop isn't very large, but we make it work. It’s a lively spot with people constantly walking by on their way to the market. We start early because the afternoon heat in Katargam can be pretty intense. We do a lot of our work by hand, so you’ll see us huddled over the benches most of the time. The floor is concrete and we’ve got tools hanging all over the walls. It’s not a quiet business, but we like the energy. We get a lot of locals coming in to ask questions or just to see what we’re up to. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here at Nava Falia every day. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools during tea breaks and watch the traffic go by. It’s a simple setup at Real Hot, but it’s ours and we know every inch of this plot. We keep the lights on late if there is a lot to do before the weekend starts.
