Tastersss Mini Departmental Store

We are located inside Braham Nagar on Lawrence Road in Amritsar. The shop is number 24. We are quite close to Tagore College, so we see a lot of students throughout the day and evening. It is a mini departmental store, which means we try to keep a bit of everything for the house. We have groceries, toiletries, and snacks for kids. Lawrence Road is a famous part of the city and it is always lively with people. Our shop is not very large but we have used every inch of the wall space for shelves to fit everything. Sometimes it feels like the boxes are going to fall over if you touch them. We spend a lot of time checking the dates on products and putting new things out for sale. The students usually want quick things like cold drinks or packets of noodles. The older people from the colony come for their monthly rations and heavy bags of flour. It is a good mix of people from the neighborhood. We have a small counter where we sit and talk to the neighbors about what is happening in the city. Amritsar is a place where people like to eat well, so we try to keep many varieties of snacks and biscuits. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are out for a walk or coming back from work. We don't have any fancy marketing or signs. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer. It is a steady life.
