Sukhdev General Store

You can find Sukhdev General Store at House No. 193 on Street No. 6 in Model Town. We are in Beas, and G T Road is quite close to us. It’s a residential area, so it’s usually pretty quiet except for when the kids are out playing. The shop is actually part of the house. We have all the basic groceries and household stuff that people in the neighborhood need. We started this because there weren't many shops right on this street. It’s convenient for the neighbors so they don’t have to go all the way to the main road for every little thing. We don't have a big sign or anything. Most people just know we are here. It's a small room filled with shelves from floor to ceiling. My family helps keep things organized. We aren't trying to compete with the big stores on G T Road. We just provide a local service for the people living nearby. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding Street No. 6, but we just tell them we’re near the big road. It’s a simple way to run a business. We see the same people every morning for their milk and bread. It feels more like helping out neighbors than running a store. We just keep doing what we’re doing and take things as they come. It's been a good few years living and working right here in Beas.
