Sindhi General Store

Our shop, Sindhi General Store, is positioned right near the Jallianwala Bagh Main Gate. It is basically opposite the Temple City Guest House. Since we are so close to the gate, we see a lot of people walking by every single day. Some are tourists and some are just locals living nearby. It is a lively area to be in. The guest house across from us always has people coming and going with their bags. We keep things simple here. We have the usual items people look for when they are passing through. The mornings are usually the quietest time before the crowds start building up near the monument. I spend a lot of time just rearranging things on the counters. It gets dusty because of the road, so there is always cleaning to do. We don't really do any big advertising or anything like that. People just see the sign and walk in. Sometimes the noise from the street is a lot, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We try to keep the stock updated so we don't run out of the basics. It's a small space, so we have to use every bit of the walls to hold everything. It feels like home after spending so many hours here every week. Just a basic store doing its thing near the main gate. It can get a bit hectic during festival times, but that is normal.
