Sangam Departmental Store

We have been at shop 98 on Ajnala Road for many years now. Being right by the Gumtala Bye Pass in the Amritsar Cantt area means there is always a lot of noise and traffic. Most of our days begin early, usually around sunrise, so we can sweep the floor and get ready before the first workers stop by. It stays busy here because of the bye pass. Our shelves are always packed with the things people need for their houses, like flour, lentils, and soaps. When the morning rush hits, the shop can get a bit crowded, but we do our best to help everyone quickly. It is not a polished or fancy place, just a regular departmental store where you can get your daily shopping done. Since most of our customers live nearby, we have gotten to know their faces well. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late which makes things difficult, but that is part of life in Amritsar. Our main focus is just keeping the stock full and the prices fair for the neighbors. If you are heading towards the airport or driving through the Cantt, you can see our sign from the road. It might look a bit old, but we have what you need. Even though the area has changed with more cars and people, the way we run the shop stays the same as always.
