R K General Store

R K General Store is based at Shop No. 1 on Majitha Road, right in the Medical Enclave area of Amritsar. We are situated directly opposite S.B Estates. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the city center, but the road itself is quite busy with cars going back and forth to the hospitals. We’ve been running this shop for a good while now. We mostly sell everyday household goods. You can find things like milk, eggs, bread, and different types of biscuits and snacks. We also keep cleaning supplies and some basic stationery items. The shop isn't very large, so we’ve had to use every inch of wall space for shelves. It can feel a bit crowded when we have a lot of stock, and sometimes boxes are stacked up near the entrance. We try to keep it tidy, but when it’s just one person working, it can be tough to keep up. Our customers are mostly people who live in the enclave. They stop by on their way home to pick up things they forgot earlier in the day. We don't have any corporate training or polished ways of speaking. We just talk to people like we’ve known them forever, because in many cases, we have. It’s a small, local business that survives on regular customers. We just keep our heads down and make sure we have enough milk and bread for the morning rush.
