We've been here at Krishna Square in Amritsar for quite a while now. It's right near Celebration Mall and opposite Vidya Bhawan High School, so finding us isn't too hard for most folks. The shop name is Professional Looks Hair And Beauty Salon, though people just call us by our work. It started out small. We do hair cutting, some beauty stuff for women, and standard grooming for men. It’s a busy spot because of the school nearby. We see a lot of students and parents stopping in after they drop the kids off. The chairs are old but comfortable. Sometimes the music is a bit loud if the younger staff is working that day. We try to keep the place clean, though on Saturdays when it's packed, hair gets everywhere faster than we can sweep it. It’s just how it goes. People come in, chat about the news or what's happening in the neighborhood, and get their hair done. We don't have fancy coffee machines or anything, just a water cooler and some old magazines. It's a simple setup. We know most of our regulars by their first names. If you’re around Krishna Square and need a trim or your eyebrows done, you can just walk in. We don’t always do appointments strictly, but we try to get to everyone fairly quickly. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where we try to do a decent job every day and keep the customers coming back when they need it again.
