Beauty Lounge-7 Salon

We have been here for a while now, right in Main Bazar. It’s a busy spot in Shaheed Udam Singh Nagar, and Street Number 8 is just across the road from us. Mostly we just deal with the regular people coming in from the market or the houses nearby. It gets very hot in the afternoons during the summer, so the ceiling fan is always running on full speed. We have the usual chairs and big mirrors that you see in any local shop around here. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back. We don’t have any fancy signs or neon lights or anything like that. Just the name Beauty Lounge-7 Salon painted on the front. It’s mostly just cutting hair and doing the basic grooming stuff people need. People know where we are because we are near the corner of the street. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, especially on weekends, so we are always busy with the broom. We try to keep things simple and practical here. Nothing very special happens, just the same work routine every day. You see the same faces walking past the shop to the bazaar every morning and evening. It’s a decent place to work and spend the day. We usually chat with the other shopkeepers when there are no customers in the chairs. Most of the time we are just busy with the scissors or the water spray. It’s just what we do.
