Peter Masih Karyana Store

Our store is tucked into Dhillon Market, which is part of the Tung Bala Main Bazaar in Amritsar. We are quite close to the Tung Bala Gate, so there is always something happening nearby. It is a karyana store, which means we deal mostly with groceries and kitchen supplies. You will find big sacks of grain, oils, and all the different spices that make our local food taste right. The bazaar is usually loud and full of life, and our shop is just one small part of that noise. We have been operating out of this spot for a good number of years. It is a family-run kind of thing. We do not have fancy lights or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters, check what we sold yesterday, and get ready for the day's visitors. People come in for their weekly ration or just a single packet of biscuits. Since we are in a busy market, the competition is everywhere, but we just stick to what we know. The space is a bit tight with all the stock piled up, but we know where everything is. You might have to wait a minute if we are digging out a specific brand of soap from the back. It is just how things work here. We like being part of the Tung Bala community and seeing the same faces every week.
