Mohan Samrat Salon is right by the Bus Stand in Shrifpura, Amritsar. It’s a very busy area because of all the travelers and locals moving through the station every day. Being located so close to the bus stand means we see a lot of different faces. Some people are just stopping by for a quick shave or a haircut before they catch a bus to another city. Others are regulars who live right here in Shrifpura and have been coming to us for years. The noise from the buses and the crowd is just part of our daily life. We open early because that’s when the first travelers start moving around. The shop itself is a modest place. We keep things functional and tidy so we can work fast when someone is in a hurry. Amritsar is a city that never really stops, and being near the bus stand, we feel that energy all day long. We don’t have any fancy posters or corporate talk here. It’s just us, the chairs, and the equipment. We’ve been here long enough to know how to handle the rush hours. When it gets quiet, we just sit by the door and watch the world go by until the next person walks in. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we enjoy being part of this busy neighborhood. There is always someone new to talk to, and that makes the days go by much faster than you would expect. We are just here doing our thing.
