Main Road in Amritsar is a busy place to have a shop. Menz Zone Beauty Saloon is right there on the main stretch. It is easy to find because of all the traffic passing by every minute. Amritsar is always moving and we are right in the middle of it. The saloon is a place for guys to come in and get sorted out without a lot of fuss. We have the usual chairs and the basic setup you would expect. It is not a place with a lot of decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the job. The floors get covered in hair pretty fast on a Saturday morning and we are always sweeping. It is just a simple spot. Being on the Main Road means we see all sorts of people. Some are just passing through the city and others have lived here their whole lives. The humidity in Amritsar can get pretty bad, so the fans are always going in here. We spend most of our day on our feet. It is tiring but it is the work we know. There isn't any big story behind it, we just opened up and kept going. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun but everyone knows where we are. It is just a plain, local saloon for the neighborhood men who need to get a trim or a shave.
