Mahajan General Store

Our store is on Gt Road in Amritsar, specifically in Gali No. 3. Being near Model Town means we see a lot of different people every day. Mahajan General Store has been a part of this street for quite a bit. It is a busy area, so things move fast around here most of the time. We stock the usual household items, like soaps, detergents, and snacks for the kids. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible on the shelves for the customers. Sometimes we lose track of where things are in the back, but we find them eventually. It is just a regular shop run by regular people. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People just know we are here because we have been here so long. Gt Road is always noisy, but once you step into the gali, it gets a bit quieter. We deal with the heat and the rain just like everyone else. Running a general store isn't glamorous work, it’s just about being there when someone needs a pack of matches or some sugar. We appreciate the people who stop by every morning. It keeps the business going day by day. We are just one of the many shops in this part of town, trying to provide the basics for the neighbors in Model Town.
