Maa Chintpurni Travels

Our place, Maa Chintpurni Travels, is located right on Hathi Gate Road here in Amritsar. It’s a lively part of the city, and being near the gate means there’s always something happening right outside our door. We’ve been here long enough that most of the shopkeepers nearby know us by name. We handle a lot of local travel requests and help people figure out their bus or car routes. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes people come in with a lot of questions about getting to other parts of Punjab, and we do what we can to help them out. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing things down in ledgers. We don't really do the whole online thing as much as some others might, we prefer just talking to people face to face. It feels more real that way. On hot days, the fan just barely keeps us cool, but we stay busy enough that we don’t notice it too much. We focus on getting the details right so nobody gets stuck somewhere they didn't mean to be. If you're walking down Hathi Gate Road, you'll see us. We’re usually just sitting there working through the day's list of travelers. We have some old posters on the wall from years ago that we just never took down.
