Jawala Ji Tour And Travels

We are based at Shop No-5 on the Main Road near Hathi Gate. It’s a very busy area because we are quite close to the Durgiana Mandir. You can always hear the bells and the sounds from the temple while we are working. Jawala Ji Tour And Travels is a small operation. We focus mostly on local tours and helping pilgrims get around the city. The Hathi Gate area is always crowded, so there is never a dull moment. We have a few vehicles that we keep parked in different spots nearby. My brothers and I take turns managing the desk. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the schedules, especially when there is a festival at the temple. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just tell people what we can do and how much it will cost. Most people find us because they are already visiting the mandir and need a way to see the rest of Amritsar. The shop is small and has some old calendars on the wall. It’s comfortable for us. We know the history of this part of the city and can tell you where to get a good meal nearby. The air around here always smells like incense and street food, which is something I really like about working at Hathi Gate. We are a small team and we don't have a big corporate manual. We just handle each trip as it comes. Sometimes the traffic is bad, but we usually find a way through the narrow lanes.
